After 23 years of immersion in an Eastern spiritual path, Dave and Hiyaguha had to walk away. In the years since, they found that some of what was meaningful in that group still guides their lives. They would like to share a few of these guiding principles.
Bio: Dave and Hiyaguha are both psychotherapists and writers. They were devoted students of the Eastern spiritual teacher Sri Chinmoy for over two decades before becoming disillusioned and leaving the group. They lived in Kauai for 16 years, then moved to the Asheville area and ultimately to Bluffton. Here they found the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Lowcountry, which saved them from a life of drinking and debauchery.
