Rev. Charlie Tyler and Color Outside the Lines Bluffton Youth Group
What happens when three middle-schoolers sit down at a dining room table and decide they're tired of not having an inclusive community around them? They decide to do something about it — and choose gratitude over disappointment.
Alongside Rev. Charlie Tyler, the Color Outside the Lines youth group will share their story: how friends who sought a judgment-free space created their own community.
Rev. Tyler, Alessandra, Alma, Jozee, Oliver, and Reid will explore how gratitude shows up in their lives—from community activism to the small moments that remind us we belong. They'll share how their youth group's commitment to acceptance and action has transformed three friends around a dining room table into a growing community of youth gathering regularly at UUCL.
You'll hear about their initiatives, participate in a loving kindness meditation, and hear how gratitude shows up in their everyday lives. This is a story of youth-led, adult-supported community building grounded in UU values—and an invitation to be part of what comes next.
Following the service, youth group members will be available in the fellowship hall to answer questions and share information about the group.
